Hard music from Leipzig that is temporarily lost in atmospheric memories. Four artists – one maxim: “We do our best to f *** your ears!”

In 2016, the 4 musicians between the ages of 16-18 years decided to organize a cover appearance together on the occasion of the 40th birthday of the drum teacher at the joint music school. After the first rehearsal, it was clear to the guys that they would share their common passion for music for a long time to come.

They didn’t want to leave it at one gig. And so they made music together without a name for the time being. The strengths of the musicians quickly became apparent: they were able to develop fully while jamming and improvising. So they wrote their first song “Am Ende” within 2 rehearsals.

Their way of spontaneously creating music together excited people. When asked about their band name, they paused. They didn’t have one yet. That’s why a name had to be found quickly. After 30 minutes of brainstorming, the name LINE X OUT was born.

Before the guys could properly record their first songs, there were other problems to deal with. They didn’t have a rehearsal room, so they rehearsed in the children’s room of the guitarist Andre. In the long run, however, this only caused trouble with local residents. Therefore the band looked for their own rehearsal room and finally found it in a room of the former discotheque “CULT” in Neukirchen. No heating, damp walls, and a concrete floor weren’t ideal conditions for rehearsing, but at least that way you weren’t disturbed. After the landlord suddenly asked for more rent, the band was forced to move again.

Creative. An acoustically optimized room in the room for rehearsing and recording, a bar, a chill-out corner, a table tennis table and even a small stage found space in this property – everything self-built and financed with cover appearances. After the completion of the rehearsal room, the band could again deal intensively with songwriting and production. In doing so, they took a new path by relying on English lyrics, classic sound and progressive riffs.

Internes Management, Content Creation

“It is not always easy to find the right words. But it’s not difficult to convince a girl with those.”

Arend is the singer and front man of the band. It is his vision to make the demanding music of the instrumentalists with the vocals tangible and thus accessible to the listener. The charismatic singer gives the band a face and leaves a lasting impression on the audience.

Anthony Kiedis (RHCP), Adam Grahn (Royal Republic)

BENNI //X// Bass

All-round technician (analog/digital), Financial management

“My bass frequencies cause violent ecstasy and in bad cases diarrhea.”

As the bass player, Benni is responsible for the low frequencies of the arrangements. He relies solely on hearing and gut instinct. This makes the basslines look very natural and not constructed. Aside from music, his interests and areas of responsibility are very diverse. Whether IP configuration of the tape router or the next budget calculation – Benni takes care of it.

Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), Mike Kerr (Royal Bllod)

ALFRED //X// Drums

Mixing / mastering / video editing, technical implementation

“Rhythm instruments were the roots of musical discovery. Everything has a Sound, so music is everywhere. Just beat it. Just feel it. Just discover.”

Even if Alfred makes an excellent picture on bass, guitar, piano, synth and xylophone, he feels most comfortable on the drums of LINE X OUT. He brings “tricky” progressive rhythms to funky grooves into the songwriting. Thanks to his mixing and mastering skills, the band and him have the decisive advantage of being able to manage music productions in-house and thus strictly follow the “do it yourself” approach of the band.

Victor Vooten, Guthrie Govan (The Aristocrsts)

ANDRE //X// Guitar

public appearance, customer contact

“Playing guitar is like being in a relationship. Sometimes you feel close to heaven and at certain times very close to hell.”

Andre is our lead and rhythm guitarist in one. Musically he is more progressive and doesn’t shy away from incorporating one or the other dissonance into the musical structure, which has a lasting impact on the sound of LINE X OUT. Apart from making music, Andre has taken on the role of social media manager and thus documents all of the band’s important activities on Instagram and Co.

Brent Hinds (Mastodon), Misha Mansoor (Periphery)
